Day One in Kenya
"Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." - Titus 2:14
We are safely in Nairobi, Kenya! We landed around 7pm last night and arrived at the guest house around 8. We tried to sleep and then keep ourselves up during the flights in accordance with Kenyan time but we ended up not sleeping much at all on the way. We slept pretty well last night other than waking up several times early this morning. Our accommodations are really nice here and the people are very friendly.
We read the above verse this morning in devotions and felt like it was very appropriate since we are the "peculiar people" here who know very little about anything in this culture. :) We are also praying for zeal from God for the work He is doing.
For all you prayer warriors... we'd appreciate continued prayers for recovering quickly from jet lag, and for good health and energy. Please pray also for Jason in getting things set up today (phone, internet card, money exchange etc) and for His meetings at the hospital tomorrow.
