Celebrating Dad

"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus". - Philippians 2:5

  Happy Birthday to my wonderful Daddy! I am so thankful for his godly teaching and leadership in my life! He is a faithful prayer warrior and a dedicated husband and father. He is a pastor, friend, counselor and encourager to so many people. Thank you Dad for your constant love and care for me. Thank you for training me in the way of the Lord. Thank you for pushing me to do what God was calling me to, even when it was hard for you (and often still is I'm sure). Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. I love you so very much!!

  Philippians 2:5 is my Father's life verse. He is constantly challenging us to think through what it would be like to have the mind of Christ. How would we think, act, and live differently? The truth is that if we are Christians, and therefore have the Holy Spirit living in us, then the mind of Christ is within us already. It is a matter of choosing to surrender to, and be in tune with, Christ's mind. We must yield our thoughts to Him continually. What a challenge and encouragement!
