Picture Post!
We got a lot of stares and comments throughout our travels... :-) |
Nathaniel attached himself to this Woody doll at my parent's house while we were at orientation. My Mom said it was ok for him to bring Woody to Africa... Thanks Mom!! :-) |
Nathaniel enjoyed watching Toy Story 3 on the way! |
My handsome, wonderful men! |
This beautiful piano was in our house and ready to play when we walked in the door! (see previous post for story) |
Can you tell it's the rainy season here? |
The PAACS residents and their spouses! The man in the middle with the hat just completed his surgical residency and him and his wife are heading today to the north of Cameroon to work in a hospital where he will be the only surgeon and to reach out to the many people in need of healing and hope! |
I am officially now part of a society for doctors' wives and medical professionals from Mbingo Baptist Hospital! :) I had a blast at my first meeting and I'm looking forward to getting together with these women monthly. I just had my measurements taken to have one of these dresses made! |
Nathaniel took this picture... |
Nathaniel also took this one while we were eating and talking. :-) Despite the busyness of the hospital here, Jason has been able to come home most days for a quick lunch! It helps that our house is a one minute walk away from the hospital! |
Nathaniel got to go along for patient rounds the other night! |
Love them so much. |
Jason insisted on carrying both boys on our walk to dinner at another couple's house the other night. Wish you could have seen the looks and laughs he got... |
The front entrance to our home. It's a three bedroom duplex. We are still working on settling in. I will hopefully post some pics of the inside soon. This week will be full of sewing projects with Judy Norman as we re-cover couches and chairs and make pillows, curtains, and a wall hanging! |
Loving making new friends! |
I have been so excited to find out that there are horses here. Hoping to go horseback riding in the mountains sometime in the near future! |
Hope you enjoyed a few glimpses into our life here so far. We will work on taking and posting pics more frequently. We love you all so much! Thank you again for all of your support, prayers, and encouragement!
Yay! So happy to see you all in these pictures! Thank you for sharing!
